Dr. Andrew Comerci, although born in Denver, CO, spent most of his childhood in rural Southern Arizona before moving to Albuquerque, NM to finish High School. He returned to Arizona to complete his undergraduate studies at the University of Arizona in 2006, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He was awarded a four-year Health Professions Scholarship through the United States Air Force and graduated the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in 2011.
Shortly afterward, he began his active-duty career with the United States Air Force and attended Commissioned Officer Training in Montgomery, AL. He was identified as a top performer of his class and completed the program as a Distinguished Graduate.
Dr. Comerci continued his dental training by completing a rigorous two-year Advanced General Education Residency at the 59th Medical Wing, Joint-Base San Antonio-Lackland in Texas in 2014. Through this program, he was awarded a Master of Science in Oral Biology from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Maryland and was published in the Academy of General Dentistry’s peer-reviewed journal in 2015. Following this program, he received his board certification from the American Board of General Dentistry becoming a diplomate of the organization and has since been invited to sit on its board of examiners. In 2022, after completing over 500 hours of continuing education and successfully challenging an examination requiring comprehensive dental knowledge, Dr. Comerci was accepted as a Fellow in the Academy of General dentistry, a distinction only 6% of general dentists achieve.
During his six years of active-duty service, Dr. Comerci deployed to the Middle East where he provided dental care to our troops and canine security forces. During his deployment, he was Company Grade Officer of the Quarter. And in 2016, while stationed at Davis Monthan AFB in Tucson, Arizona, he was voted Company Grade Officer of the Year. Upon separation from the Air Force in May 2017, he joined Dr. Thomas and Integrity Dental team in Pueblo, CO.
Dr. Comerci met his beautiful wife, Guadalupe, while they studied abroad in Spain. They have since been blessed with 15 plus years of happy marriage and three wonderful children. Dr. Comerci is involved in multiple community service organizations. Most notably, he is an elder in his local church, a member of the Pueblo West Rotary Club and volunteers with multiple donated dental care organizations to include the annual Colorado Mission of Mercy. Through his church and Integrity Dental Dr. Comerci has made multiple mission trips to Siguatepeque, Honduras providing free dental care in an effort to relieve pain and restore smiles. Dr. Comerci most enjoys time spent with family, the study of scripture, the outdoors and playing tennis.
